The STAAR Science Test
So for those of you that don't know what will be on the Science (STAAR Test) the STAAR 8th Grade They include the subjects of chemistry, physics, Earth and space science and biology. Following their exploration of these chapters, your student(s) will have a better understanding of: Properties of matter and energy. Chemical formulas, equations and the elements of the periodic table. Students will have up to 4 hours to complete the exam.
And if you fail the (STAAR Test) you will have to retake the test, but you will not have to retake the course before retaking the test and you probaly have to do summer school or intevention or probaly both summer school and intervention and we don't want you to fail or have to do summer school and/or intervention.
So thats why we provided this suggestion for your (STAAR TEST)
So here are some suggestions for before the (STAAR TEST)
- The number one test-taking strategy for students taking STAAR tests is to be prepared and know the material covered on the tests. These assessments measure the skills and knowledge students have acquired in their classes, so reviewing that material in advance is important.
- Eliminate any distractions for a certain period of time.
- Take notes in class.
- Ask questions in class or after class to understand the parts you don't know.
- Study with a friend or a group so you can test each other.
- Make flash cards so you can quiz yourself.
Now here are some suggestions for during the test
- Take Notes.
- Understand the Question.
- Read Each Answer Choice.
- Take Your Time.
- Take Breaks.
- Check Your Work.
